Anglophone activists in Cameroon have released a disturbing video of a massacre on Thursday night in a village located in Santa local government area in the North West region of Cameroon where protesters have been demanding independence since 2017. The video shows decapitated bodies of many people killed in the overnight attack between Thursday and Friday. Pinyin villages are located southwest of Bamenda in the Santa Sub-division, the North West region of Cameroon. Why it matters: Anglophone activists from the South West and North West regions of Cameroon have been seeking independence from French speaking Cameroon since 2017. Cameroonian military has killed hundreds of activists while activists have armed themselves and gunned down many soldiers.
