Displaced vendors in QC score 2nd chance with night market

MANILA, Philippines — Vendors displaced in Quezon City due to the nationwide road clearing operations will now have the opportunity to sell their goods in the city once again. This is through the efforts of the Quezon City local government as it announced the upcoming “Sari-Sari Kyusi: The Quezon City Night Market” on Thursday. ADVERTISEMENT“The Quezon City government wanted to establish and develop a space for street vendors who had lost their livelihood because of the clearing operations,” Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said in a statement. “This is not just a night market as we will provide a stage for homegrown Quezon City talents to perform live acts,” Belmonte added. It will be located at the TUCP Compound, at the corner of Elliptical and Maharlika roads, as well as Ayala Vertis North.
