45 trattorias, 26 food stalls, half a dozen food-related rides and three Michelin-starred restaurant outposts. Eataly World, located on the outskirts of Bologna, is now open for business. Eataly World features 150 purveyors representing the diversity of Italy’s regional cuisines, including Abruzzese sheep skewers and DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) prosciutto di San Daniele. Entrance is free but visitors can expect to pay for food and experiences such as fresh pasta-making, food photography and beekeeping workshops (€20/$30), and the Fico Grand Tour (€15/$22.50). Eataly has 40 stores around the world, and will be opening its first Canadian location in Toronto in early 2019.
