This year was set to mark the 20th anniversary of New Zealand Fashion Week, however with COVID-19 restrictions now in place, and Auckland and Coromandel in level 4 for seven days, the event simply cannot go ahead as planned. "It's disappointing for our designers who have put so much work into the shows to be presented next week, buyers, production teams, models, partners and all New Zealanders that we've had to postpone New Zealand Fashion Week because of the immediate lockdown. In an earlier interview with the Herald Stewart said Fashion Week had been a "huge risk personally" to her.
