Directors, it's time to take the leadPETER MEECHAM/STUFF Directors, don't be shy - take a stand on the big issues. OPINION: The Institute of Directors (IOD) this week released a "brief for boards" on sexual harassment. It told directors that it was their role to set the tone for healthy values, including safety, respect, and conduct. It's great that it's being addressed but this is a weak effort from an organisation that has already shown itself unwilling to lead. Directors and the Institute of Directors, as leaders of business, have missed an important opportunity.
