REVIEW: One man had fashioned a screen by tying his jersey around his head, lifting the flap only when his nerve permitted it. 1984, the play that famously had them puking in the aisles on Broadway, was certainly confronting. 1984 is, apparently, the book people are most likely to think they've read when they actually haven't. 1984, Auckland Waterfront Theatre, part of the Auckland Arts Festival, until March 25.
