Relocation of pipelines to facilitate construction of the metro rail project will cause a disruption in gas supply across the city for 12 hours from 6am on Tuesday. Earlier on Saturday, gas outage began in the city and adjoining areas from 8am due to maintenance work at the city gas station (CGS) in Ashulia. Talking about Saturday’s gas crisis, he said the problem has already been fixed as the normal supply of gas was restored across the city in the morning. On Friday night, Gas Transmission Company Ltd (GTCL) received a complaint about a gas leak at the gas station in Ashulia, on the outskirts of Dhaka.
