COX’S BAZAR, Mar 26, 2026 (BSS)- Two tourists were killed in a road accident in Baniarchhara area under Chakaria upazila of the district on Thursday early morning. The deceased were identified as Shariful Islam, 30, son of Shahid Bhuiyan and Raisul Islam, 30, son of Oliul Islam. According to police, the victims were travelling to Cox’s Bazar from Dhaka on a motorcycle, accompanied by a group of friends riding separate bikes. The injured were taken to Chakaria Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared them dead. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chakaria Chiringa Highway thana Ariful Amin said the bus driver and his assistant fled the scene immediately after the accident.
