The boss of a development firm behind a bid to build nearly 180 homes in Diss sought to address any concerns during a planning meeting held by Diss Town Council this week. The site – on land between Shelfanger Road and Heywood Road/Burston Road – would see 179 homes, plus a new road, built. On Wednesday evening, Richard Martin, the director of Scott Properties, took questions from residents during a virtual planning meeting. Former Diss Mayor Mike Garnham voiced his opposition to the plans during Wednesday's planning meeting. “The next public meeting must actually be a public meeting – it must be held at the youth and community centre or the Corn Hall.”The application can be viewed by clicking here.
