We've got some things we expected to see, like a brand-new location and a newish class of enemies. But the biggest addition from a technical perspective is likely Gambit, a brand-new mode that blends PvP and PvE for the first time. In a broad sense, many blamed the flattening sorts of nerfs that made the guardians so much less dynamic in Destiny 2 on Bungie's desire to get a tighter grip on PvP balance. A blended mode like Gambit means that Bungie has to either balance three modes separately or balance all three at once, which presents some of those challenges it's struggled with before. Since then, Bungie has been loosening up by buffing both weapons and guardians in ways that could cause balance issues but are fun nonetheless.
