Desperate Dunedin family prepares for fifth Christmas apart from dad

It will be the fifth Christmas in a row Kosena Eteuati spends apart from his wife and two daughters. Eteuati's plight was highlighted by Stuff in May, with Immigration NZ (INZ) apologising over the delay, noting the Apia office had been closed due to Covid-19. But the office re-opened on July 20 and his Dunedin-based family – wife Danelza and daughters RaDesha, 5, and Meatuai, 8, continue to wait. Hamish McNeilly/Stuff Danelza Eteuati wants a decision from Immigration NZ on her husband, who remains in Samoa. Despite the delays, Danelza Eteuati remained optimistic about getting a positive result from INZ.
