Speaking on the floor of Parliament during discussions on the business statement, Shaib urged the House to demand clarity on reports that the aircraft being used by the President belongs to his brother. Shaib stressed that Parliament has a responsibility to ensure transparency and accountability in matters involving public expenditure and the use of private assets for state functions. In addition to the issue of the aircraft, the Deputy Minority Chief Whip also asked the Foreign Affairs Minister to brief the House on earlier assurances that the government would construct airports across all regions in Ghana. He, therefore, urged the leadership of the House to ensure the minister appears before Parliament to provide full details and respond to questions from Members.
