Ablakwa disclosed that the foreign ministers of both countries have been tasked to begin and conclude negotiations on the proposed visa waiver arrangement by June this year. Once finalised, the visa waiver agreement is expected to ease travel between Ghana and South Korea, potentially boosting trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges. Following President Mahama’s meeting with President Lee Jae Myung, Ghana and the Republic of Korea have decided to open negotiations on a visa waiver agreement. The two Foreign Ministers have been urged to conclude negotiations by June this year.
