DepEd Undersecretary for Planning and Field Operations, in a recent interview, said that DepEd is implementing a hiring policy that has a cut-off score. Earlier, a Policy Brief on teacher education program performance released by the University of the Philippines Center for Integrative Development Studies (UP CIDS) recently urged the DepEd to ensure hiring quality teachers for public schools. HIRING MORE TEACHERSMeanwhile, Mateo assured that DepEd continues its efforts to ensure that there will be enough teachers for all public schools nationwide.
