The Tel Aviv-born, Vaughan-raised 18-year-old just wrapped up an inspiring run at the U.S. Open, playing his way though a qualifiers’ bracket to the Grand Slam tournament’s fourth round, ousting more established stars en route. His profile has risen so precipitously that his return to Canada prompted a news conference, even as the Open continues.
