JOHOR BARU: The number of passengers taking buses remains low despite the lifting of the interstate travel restriction under the recovery movement control order (MCO). Larkin bus terminal auxiliary police coordinator Noor Azman Yusof said there was only a slight increase in bus passengers since the recovery MCO began on Wednesday. “We were expecting a significant increase in passengers after the interstate travel ban was lifted but we have yet to see such escalation. He added that a majority of those taking buses were those travelling to Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Among those waiting for a bus here was college student Tea Ke Xin, 20, who said she was about to travel to Kuala Lumpur for an internship.
