A soft drink whole seller, Mukesh Kumar Singhal (45), was shot dead outside his house during a robbery bid on Monday. His son, Sourabh (18), suffered a bullet injury in the attack and was admitted to a hospital. Singhal's 44-year-old wife, Sunita, was shot as well after she came out of the house, armed with a floor wiper to foil the robbery bid. She suffered serious bullet wounds. Mukesh was returning home with his 18-year-old son Sourabh with the day's collection when the masked assailants attacked them.
