In a must-win, last year’s NFC champs dialled back the calendar for a dominating victory 34-7 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams (7-5) entered the day having lost two of three games, including last week’s 45-6 trouncing by the Ravens. Goff threw for more yards (517) when he connected on 45-of-68 Sept. 29 against Tampa, but that day he also was picked off three times and the Rams lost 55-40. This was his best performance, and it came when the Rams very much needed it. Next week’s game against the Seahawks could very well be their season.
