Defence to call no witnesses in murder trial for two accused of killing Nadia Gonzales

HALIFAX—The trial for the man and woman accused in the 2017 stabbing death of Halifax mother Nadia Gonzales is heading to closing arguments. Graves gave direct testimony on Tuesday but left the court before her cross-examination could be completed. She told the court that the pair had a black duffel bag with them at the time. Graves said she knew the men, but had difficulty identifying one of the associates from photo books in the Crown’s evidence. Both Jeffcock and Ritch’s lawyer, Peter Planetta, informed the jury they would not call any witnesses.
