In a press statement copied to www.ghanaweb.com, the PPP expressed concerns over how the consistent road accidents have jeopardized the lives of Ghanaians. However, PPP revealed that road traffic injuries alone is costing Ghana 1.5% of its gross national product, which is more than the total development aid the country receive. Available information from the World Health Organization and the World Bank indicates that road traffic injuries alone cost Ghana 1.5% of our gross national product, which is more than the total development aid we receive. We are challenging the government to declare war on corruption, which contributes directly and indirectly to the unacceptably high levels of road traffic accidents in our country.
