Regional News of Thursday, 19 March 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Paramount Chief of the Atebubu Traditional Area, Ohempong Dr Yeboah Asiamah, has called on Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMTL) to extend its transport services to the people of Atebubu and its surrounding communities. This, he noted, will make transport services more accessible to the people and help boost economic activity, as well as reduce post-harvest losses in the area. He noted that the introduction of Metro Mass services to the municipality would support farmers, ease the movement of goods and services, and enhance the economic fortunes of the area. He also disclosed that Metro Mass is expecting new buses, with the first batch scheduled to arrive by the end of March 2026, and additional units expected in the subsequent months. He added that Metro Mass Transit will soon introduce cargo vehicles to support farmers and traders by facilitating the safe and efficient transport of goods.
