'Decent' sized weather system bringing muggy temperatures and rain

The fast-moving system was expected to hit on Friday and move up the country on Saturday. MetService A "decent" sized front is making its way from Australia's southeast coast to New Zealand, bringing heavy rain to parts of the South Island, showers to the North Island and warmer temperatures nation-wide. As the system moved north, showers were expected to fall across the North Island. In addition to the wet weather, Ngamanu said temperatures nation-wide would also be warming up. Minimum temperatures across the country were still quite high, Ngamanu said, so it would still be "quite muggy".
