Eric Apolonio, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) spokesman, said on Monday that the search and rescue team spotted six small and big pieces of debris from the Beechcraft Baron 55 (BE55) and a bag with the name of the pilot-in-command, Capt. Jose Nelson Yapparcon, at 12:06 p.m. in Mindoro Strait. CAAP’s aircraft accident investigation and inquiry board was immediately dispatched to the area to investigate the scene of the accident that happened at 8:30 a.m., on Friday 16 nautical miles away from the nearest town.
