David Enthoven - News Summed Up

David Enthoven

On the day in 1969 when David Enthoven and John Gaydon signed King Crimson to Atlantic Records for $100,000, they celebrated by heading straight out to Central Park and jumping in the lake fully clothed. They then flew back to swinging London to sort out the small matter of acquiring an office. They found a place on the Kings Road, naturally. Enthoven and Gaydon had been at Harrow School together. When they left they formed a band with Gaydon on guitar, Mike d’Abo, who was later to join Manfred Mann, on keyboard, and Enthoven as the road manager.
