The tiny weever fish was found on a beach in Cornwall. Seventy people were stung in one week at the height of the weever fish season in Cornwall last year. The weever fish sting has even been known to result in death. In 2018 RNLI Lifeguards issued an alert to the public after a large number of weever fish were found on local beaches.
