Dallas Police Chief U. Reneé Hall on Monday fired a white police officer accused of fatally shooting an unarmed black man in his apartment this month, in a case that has roiled the city. In a statement, Chief Hall said she made the decision to fire Officer Amber Guyger after an internal investigation concluded that the officer engaged in “adverse conduct” when she shot and killed 26 year-old Botham Shem Jean on Sept. 6.
