But even as the film will likely surpass the $3.9m domestic total of Where to Invade Next in 2015/2016, it’s hard to argue that the Michael Moore film is anything other than an underperformer. Yet, in a skewed irony, the core reason for that underperformance is also arguably the reason for the film’s very existence. As expected, the film and Mr. Moore himself have been covered at length in various online, print and visual media outlets. And so, while the film itself may not be a huge hit, Moore is getting to preach accordingly. Fahrenheit 11/9 was never going to be anything resembling the sensation that was Fahrenheit 9/11.
