According to the decision of the General Admission Committee meeting for first year admission tests, with Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman in chair, the tests will be marked out of 100 instead of the 200 in previous sessions, said a DU press release. The passing grade will be 40% of test marks (80). It had proposed 20 marks to evaluate each aspirant’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results. Intake tests’ mark distribution was proposed to be out of 80 (MCQs 30, Written 50). In the last academic session (2019-20) the mark distribution was 75 for MCQs and 45 for the written exam.
