The DTS site at Normanby, in South Taranaki, is having a site tour in September. A South Taranaki company known for making stainless steel milk vats is looking into new markets, and even inviting its rivals to come and have a tour. Normanby-based DTS plans to make milk vats less than 40 per cent of its business within three years. “Our core capabilities are designing and engineering food grade vats,” said company chief executive Gavin Thwaites. On September 1 the company is hosting the 2021 New Zealand Lean Masterclass site tour for food, chemical and pharmaceutical processors and manufacturers from around the country.
