Share TweetBy Ellalyn de Vera-RuizThe Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Monday warned the public against scammers who are claiming to be officials of the Department to commit unscrupulous activities. “We are once again reminding the public to be wary of impostors who are using the name of the DSWD and its officials to commit fraudulent activities,” DSWD Assistant Secretary Glenda Relova said. “DSWD officials do not make requests or ask for favors especially relating to money matters,” Relova added. In another incident, he asked for cellular cards worth P10,000 from the provincial social welfare development officer (PSWDO) of Tawi-Tawi.
