The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), on Wednesday, commenced a monitoring exercise to check oil marketers’ level of compliance with the new Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) pump price. It said over 94 per cent of fuel stations visited within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were selling within the stipulated price band of N121.50 and N123.50 per litre. He said this was to ensure that marketers do not sell above the stipulated price range, under-dispense to motorists and do not divert the products to neighbouring states. Buba explained that only two of the 36 fuel stations visited were caught, selling above N123.50 adding that both outlets have been sealed and sanctioned. According to him, officials of the agency have visited the locations and to collect samples of the products for analysis.
