Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Awami League, Chhatra League, Jubo League, Awami Swechasebak League, Sramik League— along with the members of other wing organizations—were present during his campaign around 12:00pm on Monday. He also held rallies in different areas of Mirpur, Dhaka. Leaders and activist of the ruling party told the Dhaka Tribune that they are getting a very positive response from the public for the upcoming DNCC by-polls. Notably, Atiqul Islam was the president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
