The Vakola Police have arrested a serial land grabber, who is said to have claimed rights to many properties across the city and has asked the existing tenants to vacate the premises. Making use of those documents, Khan conducted several illegal land transactions and misappropriated a huge amount of money and duped people. One of the residents and complainant Pratap Shinde, after receiving the summon from the court, challenged it and claimed that the documents filed by Khan while filing a petition were forged. “Khan had managed to acquire fake conveyance deed letters from the MHADA and the municipal authority and on that basis he framed a false case. We requested the court to grant some time to examine the authenticity of the submitted documents from MHADA.
