DICT provides free internet to Covid-19 facilities – The Manila Times

THE Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has expanded its free internet access to coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) facilities. The DICT said 30 facilities were now under the government’s Free Wi-Fi For All to help frontliners battle the pandemic, as the service would allow them to have swift data gathering and exchange. There are also existing free Wi-Fi services in five accredited Covid-19 testing centers nationwide. These are at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Muntinlupa City, San Lazaro Hospital in Manila, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City, Lung Center of the Philippines in Quezon City and Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City. The government’s free Wi-Fi program seeks to equip public places such as town plazas, parks, government offices, health units and transport terminals with internet access.
