DELAY IN TENDER PROCESS FOR WIND AND SOLAR PLANTS

The projects need to be sent to the National Economic and Social Development Board’s consideration first. Originally, Egat management wanted to see the two energy storage system projects being kicked off as soon as possible as prototype projects. But the Egat board later decided that the projects should be considered by the NESDB first according to the usual procedure. The two projects are expected to attract bidders from Japan, South Korea and Europe. If the state agency sells the price-bid documents in the middle of next year, it is expected to announce the winners’ names within a further year.
