The FBI will help investigate the murder of human rights lawyer Willie Kimani and two others, DCI Ndegwa Muhoro said on Tuesday. Muhoro made the comments as the High Court directed him to swiftly probe the murder of Kimani, his client Josephat Mwenda and taxi driver, Joseph Muiruri. Kimani, Mwenda and Muiruri went missing shortly after appearing at the Mavoko law courts on June 23. More than 30 local and international human rights groups and lawyers demanded that government agencies begin investigations into the "heinous" deaths of the three. They had attended a case in which Mwenda accused an AP officer of attempted murder, after the officer shot and injured him in April 2015.
