KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 27): DBE Gurney Resources Bhd's fourth quarter net loss narrowed to RM932,000 from RM5.18 million a year earlier as the company sold more processed chicken at higher prices. In a statement to Bursa Malaysia today, DBE said revenue climbed to RM29.06 million in the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2016 from RM23.84 million. "This (revenue growth) was mainly due to higher sales volume in processed chicken together with its better selling price as compared to the prior year corresponding quarter. For the full year, DBE recorded a net profit of RM250,000 compared to a net loss of RM10.75 million a year earlier. At Bursa Malaysia today, DBE shares rose 0.5 sen or 14% to four sen for a market value of RM40.65 million.
