KUALA LUMPUR: The re-election of DAP's central executive committee (CEC) will be held on Nov 12 according to the terms and regulations set by the Registar of Societies (RoS). DAP national organising secretary Anthony Loke said DAP was also ordered to publish a notice of the re-election in major newspapers of different languages. The RoS also told Grant Thornton to ensure that only the valid 2,576 party delegates who voted in 2012 be allowed to take part in the re-election. Loke said although DAP is forced to notify all 2,576 party delegates, this does not mean that all would get the notice. In July 2017, the RoS told the party that it had no intention of de-registering DAP but it had to hold a re-election following complaints from some DAP members.
