DAP rep agrees with Umno proposal that Guan Eng steps down - Nation

GEORGE TOWN: Umno may find support from an unlikely ally in its move to table a motion urging Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng to step down when the state assembly sits in May. "At least he should go on a temporary leave until the case is over," said Teh when asked to comment on the statement by state Umno chief Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Osman on the proposed motion. "The Chief Minister has been charged with corruption and as such he should step aside for investigations to continue smoothly," he said. This is not the first time Teh has broken ranks with the party in the assembly. Teh said he would not table the motion again since Umno was proposing to table a motion against Lim.
