New Delhi: Rajya Sabha member D Raja appointed as the general secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI) on Sunday. The move comes after incumbent General secretary Sudhakar Reddy stepped down due to health reasons. The party managed to secure a win in just two seats in the country. He said that he wants all communist parties to come together and rework their strategies. 70-year-old Raja is a two-time Rajya Sabha member from Tamil Nadu.
