A cyclist was seriously injured after an accident with a car at the intersection of Waimea Rd and The Ridgeway on Monday. A cyclist knocked off his bike in Nelson has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. A police spokeswoman said the crash happened at the intersection of The Ridgeway and Waimea Rd at 12.30pm on Monday. St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said the man, who had serious injuries, was transported to Nelson Hospital by ambulance. The crash followed a fatal collision between a car and a cyclist in Wakapuaka in which Nelson woman Ann Rigg died on Friday.
