I appeal to the people of Bhadrak to maintain peace and harmony," said Naveen. Chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi said the situation was under control and no fresh incident of violence had been reported from Bhadrak. Union minister of state for petroleum and natural gas Dharmendra Pradhan said he told Union home minister Rajnath Singh about the status of the incident this morning. Consequently, prohibitory orders had been imposed on Bhadrak town on Thursday.
