The Crusaders said that they had called in the air cavalry in the form of a former captain ahead of their Super Rugby semifinal against the Chiefs in Christchurch - but it turns out it wasn't Richie McCaw. Following a week of bad weather in Christchurch, a helicopter was called in on Saturday to help dry out the turf at AMI Stadium. However, despite the Crusaders posting on their Facebook page that it was their former captain, it was in fact a pilot in a chopper from Garden City Helicopters - not the company McCaw flies with.
