Newly married Susan Fitzgibbon won the Riverton Racing Club’s Fashion in the Field competition for the second time in four years on Saturday. She is a sports follower with husband, Shaun, a top Southland cricket player, and late uncle, Graham Watkinson, having been a committee member of the Riverton Racing Club. “It was a great crowd and the [public] car park was totally full.”Robyn Edie/Stuff A crowd of about 5000 was estimated to have attended the races at Riverton on Saturday. Riverton-owned and trained Our Boy Ritchie won the Carriers Arms Hotel-sponsored Riverton Cup in a thrilling finish to the $50,000 event. Our Boy Ritchie is amongst the more than 20 horses Kelvin and daughter Aimee Tyler train at the seaside racecourse.
