A police spokeswoman said the two-vehicle crash was at the intersection of Eden and Aln St about 6.20pm. Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman Lyn Crossan said one person was trapped in a vehicle and a crew from Oamaru worked to remove them. St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said the person with critical injuries was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital.
