Police detained two of the miscreants, Ruhul, 25, and Yasin, 22, in this connection. According to local Union Parishad Member Ismail Hossain, Altaf Mridha has been staying on his ancestral land for over 30 years. The women who were tied to the tree are his relatives and lived in his house which was destroyed. The elderly woman, Nurunnahar, 70, who was injured during the attack, said the miscreants looted money, jewelry, land documents, passports, and several other things kept in the house.
