Crime author Paul Harrison's book is pulled amid claims he didn't interview serial killers


A true crime author considered the world's expert on serial killers has had books withdrawn amid claims he dreampt-up interviews with murderers including the Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe who has called him a 'charlatan' and a 'conman'. Former Northamptonshire policeman Paul Harrison found worldwide fame writing profiles on notorious criminals including Ted Bundy, the Kray twins and Charles Manson. But Mr Harrison, described as 'the master of the true crime genre' by Martina Cole, has had his latest book 'Mind Games' pulled from the shelves by publisher Urbane Publications. In his letter, the Yorkshire Ripper wrote: 'Paul Harrison is an absolute charlatan, a conman. Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe (left) said Harrison had never visited him in prison.
