In addition, tokens of appreciation were presented to the players of the 1996 Sri Lankan cricket team by the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Foundation, Mr. Navin Dissanayake. Established in 2016, the Indira Cancer Trust is a leading Sri Lankan organization dedicated to supporting families facing cancer and other serious illnesses. Established in 1981, the Sri Lanka Cricket Foundation plays a significant role not only in the development of cricket in the country but also in carrying out various social initiatives. Under the guidance of its Chairman, Navin Dissanayake, arrangements for coordinating the participation of players and the exhibition of the World Cup trophy for this commemorative event were successfully organized, the Indira Cancer Trust said.
