Cabinet Spokesman and Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa stated that many of the issues related to the QR code used when obtaining fuel are currently being resolved. He explained that if a vehicle already had a QR code and the vehicle number has not changed, the same QR code can still be used without any problem. Furthermore, he mentioned that the issues related to people who purchased new vehicles have now been completely resolved, and that process has been successfully completed. In such cases, problems occurred because the previous owner’s QR code had not been removed. Accordingly, he added that most of the issues related to the QR code system are now being successfully resolved.
