Immersive technologies and Metaverse are slowly but surely gaining a foothold in our lives and the way we engage with the world around us. These members can be IT experts, leading innovators/practitioners or even government officials who act as representatives of their country. Therefore, the Indian government should consider setting up a metaverse division under the Ministry of Electronics and IT where Metaverse for India should be clearly defined keeping cultural sensitivities, inclusion, and diversity in mind. The Metaverse forIndia should be the new 3D internet where information can be disseminated easily, and authentic information shared. Metaverse for skilling and education can be a game changer for India.The recommendations outlined above are just the starting point of this journey.
